Our setup is a bit different because we are located out in Narauna village, near Kakori. It’s a bit of a drive from the main Lucknow city area, but we like it that way. We operate out of Ghanshyam’s place. It’s quiet out here, which helps when you’re trying to focus on designs and textile work. You don't get the city noise, just the usual village sounds and the occasional tractor passing by. We do a mix of traditional stuff and some newer designs. It’s not a big factory or anything, just a small operation with a few people who know their way around a needle and thread. Sometimes the power goes out for a few hours and we just sit outside and talk until it comes back. That’s just life in the district. We’ve been here for a bit now, slowly building up what we have. People in the village know us, and we try to hire locally when we can. It’s a practical way to run things. We don't have a big sign or a fancy entrance. If you’re looking for us, you just have to ask for the textile place near the post office in Kakori. It’s honest work. We spend our days checking patterns and making sure the fabric is right. It’s not always easy, especially when deadlines are tight, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we enjoy. It feels good to create something from scratch right here in the village.
