Tiranga Rumal Chhu Federation Of India

We operate out of a small place at 1086/25 in Bhatnagar Colony. It is where the Tiranga Rumal Chhu Federation of India is based. If you have not heard of Rumal Chhu, it is a traditional game. We are trying to keep it going. The office is basically just a room with some chairs and a lot of sports equipment piled in the corner. We do not have a big staff at all. It is mostly just people who love the game and want to see more kids playing it. Bhatnagar Colony is a quiet enough place and mostly residential. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing letters to get events organized. Sometimes we have meetings on the front porch because it is cooler than being inside the office. We do not have a big budget so we do almost everything ourselves. Sometimes the neighborhood kids come by and ask what we are doing with all the gear. It is a lot of paperwork and talking to local schools. We are not a big fancy sports body like the ones you see on the television. We are just local people who care about this particular game. It is a lot of effort for very little reward. We keep at it because someone has to do it. The floor is usually covered in flyers and old rulebooks. It is a bit messy but it is how we work every day.
