Tc Eye Care

The shop is located at B-5/37 Vinay Khand, right near the railway station in Gomti Nagar. You can often hear the trains passing by while we are working inside. It is a convenient spot for people who are traveling or living in the nearby blocks. Tc Eye Care is not a very large place, but we have managed to fit in the testing chairs and the display racks for the frames. The walls are painted a simple off-white color that has seen better days. We have a small waiting area with a few plastic chairs that sometimes squeak when people sit down. The floor is made of grey stone which stays cool even when it is hot outside. We spend most of our hours looking through lenses and making sure the eye charts are straight on the wall. There is a lot of squinting involved in this line of work. We keep the glass cabinets locked, mostly to keep the dust off the spectacles. The light coming in from the front door is usually enough to see by during the day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just part of being in this area. We know the tea seller down the street quite well. It is just a regular routine of helping people find the right lenses so they can read the signs at the station better. Most days are busy, but we find time to sit for a minute when it gets quiet.
