Our place is out at Kh. No. 275 Kharagapur, which is right near the Lal Kothi landmark in the Chinhat area of Lucknow. It's not too far from the main Gomti Nagar extension, which has been growing so fast lately. We run Svamyartha Shipping And Trading Solutions Private Limited from here. It’s a decent spot because we aren't stuck in the middle of the heavy city traffic all day, though it still gets busy when the schools nearby let out. We handle a lot of the logistical side of trading and shipping. Most days involve a lot of shouting on the phone to make sure trucks are where they are supposed to be. The office is pretty basic, just some chairs and computers and a big map of the region on the wall. We have some local guys helping with the loading and the paperwork. Sometimes we have to stay late to wait for a delivery to arrive or to finish up the manifests. It’s a bit dusty because of all the construction happening in Kharagapur, but we don’t mind it much. We’ve gotten used to the noise. People around here know the Lal Kothi area well, so it’s easy to give directions. We just focus on getting the shipping details right and moving the goods from point A to point B without too much trouble. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We hope to stay here for a long time.
