Susanjeevani Hospital Maternity

Susanjeevani Hospital Maternity is tucked away in the Mahanagar Extension area, specifically at Sahara India Centre in Kapoorthala. We are in the B 1/7 block. It’s a maternity spot, so you can imagine it gets quite noisy with babies crying and families coming in and out to see the new arrivals. The building isn't brand new, but it's sturdy and we keep it as clean as we can. Working in maternity is different every day because you never really know when things are going to get busy. Sometimes it's quiet for hours, and then three people show up at once. We spend a lot of our time just making sure the rooms are ready and the equipment is where it should be. It’s not a fancy corporate place, just a hospital where people come when they’re having kids. The location in Kapoorthala is decent because there’s enough space around the Sahara India Centre for people to park their cars, which is a big deal in this part of the city. We have a few staff members who have been here for years, and we just sort of know how each other works. There isn't a lot of ceremony here; we just get on with the business of looking after mothers and their babies. It’s a lot of work and long nights, but that is just how a maternity hospital goes. We are just part of the neighborhood, really.
