Sudha Hosiery & General Store

Being at 181 Khazana Complex on Bangla Bazar Road means there is always noise from the street. This is Sudha Hosiery & General Store, right in Sector-K of the LDA Colony in Lucknow. It is a bit of a maze in this complex sometimes, but we have been here a while now. We mostly deal in hosiery items like vests and socks, plus all the usual general store stuff. The morning starts with clearing out the display bins. Since we are in Sector-K, we get a lot of families from the colony. It is funny how you get to know everyone's size and what brand of soap they like just by seeing them every week. The Khazana Complex gets quite busy on the weekends, but during the weekday afternoons, it can be a bit quiet. We just sit near the entrance and watch the people go by on Bangla Bazar Road. The shelves are filled with plastic containers and boxes of garments piled up to the ceiling. It’s not a big fancy showroom, just a practical shop where you can find the basics without much fuss. Sometimes the electricity goes off and we just use the natural light from the front. It is a decent spot to be in, and being part of the LDA Colony community feels quite normal. We keep adding things as people ask for them, so the shop stays pretty full. The tile floor is a bit cracked but easy to sweep.
