Smart Intiriors

Our office for Smart Intiriors is tucked away in Gomti Nagar, specifically over at D-204 near Stay Inn. If you know Vibhuti Khand Road, you know it’s a busy area these days with all the new buildings coming up. We are quite close to the Urdu Academy too. Working in Lucknow means dealing with the heat for most of the year, so we spend a lot of time inside planning out room layouts and picking out materials. It’s not a huge operation, just a few of us sitting with catalogs and samples of laminate and fabric. Sometimes the site visits take up the whole afternoon because the traffic near the academy gets stuck. We have piles of folders and samples taking up most of the desk space. We aren't trying to be some big corporate firm; we just like figuring out how to make a small apartment feel a bit bigger or where to put the wardrobes. The light in the office is okay in the mornings but we usually need the lamps on by four. We talk to a lot of neighbors who are moving into the new flats around here. It’s a lot of phone calls to suppliers and checking if the tiles arrived on time. We usually have lunch together at the small table in the back. It’s a simple way to work, focusing on one project at a time without too much fuss or complicated talk for hours on end.
