Shalimar Engineering

Shalimar Engineering is based in the Tata Industrial Area over in Chinhat. We are near Gomti Nagar and quite close to the big Tata Motors Company plant, which is a major landmark in this part of town. Working in an industrial area like this means there is always a lot of heavy traffic and the smell of oil and metal in the air. Our workshop is a place where we do a lot of traditional engineering work. We aren't really into the modern, flashy office style. We prefer having our benches and our lathes exactly where they have always been. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, and the floors have seen better days, but the equipment is kept in good shape. Most of the staff here live nearby in Chinhat or Gomti Nagar, so we have a local feel to the place. We start early to beat the worst of the heat, and there is usually a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. It’s a place where you can hear yourself think over the hum of the machines once you get used to it. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy brochures because word of mouth in this area has always been enough to keep us busy. We just focus on Shalimar Engineering being a reliable spot for anyone who needs something fixed or fabricated correctly.
