Saroj Accessories

It has been quite a while since Saroj Accessories set up here in Rajajipuram. If you know the Budeshwar area, you know how busy it gets around the Jalalpur railway crossing. Our spot is right near the Balaji Mandir. Most days, the sound of the trains and the temple bells are just part of the background while we sort through the stock. We started with just a few items on the shelves. Now, the space is pretty much filled up from floor to ceiling. People stop by on their way home or while waiting for an e-ricksha from the Basantee stand nearby. It is a tight space, honestly. We spend a lot of time dusting the glass cases because the road outside stays dusty with all the traffic. Sometimes the electricity cuts out in the afternoons, so we just sit on the stools outside for a bit of air. We do not have fancy displays or anything like that. It is mostly just us keeping things organized so we can find what a customer asks for without digging too long. My nephew helps out on the weekends when it gets extra crowded. We keep a ledger for everything, even though people say we should use a computer. The old way works for us. It is a simple life here in this part of Lucknow. We see the same faces every morning and know who is going to stop by for what. That is just how we do things here.
