Sanjay Gandhi Hospital

This hospital is situated in the H A L Korwa area and it has a different feel than the city ones. Since it is connected to the HAL township the people who come here are often workers or their families. The surroundings are a bit more organized but the hospital itself is still a place of constant movement. We have these long hallways that seem to go on forever. The equipment is older but we make it work for the daily checkups and emergencies. In the mornings you can see people gathering near the entrance waiting for the doors to open. We have a few trees outside that give some shade during the hot months. The staff here mostly knows each other well because we have been working together for years. It is a community feel more than anything else. We handle everything from small scrapes to bigger health issues. The records are kept in big metal cabinets that squeak when you open them. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. It is just part of living and working in Korwa. We don't have many fancy things but the hospital stays open and we do what needs to be done. The day usually ends with us finishing up the last bits of paperwork before heading home to the township. It is a quiet kind of busy that we have grown used to.
