Our shop is right in the heart of the old city in Chowk. We are on the first floor at Shop No-3, right in front of the Ek Minara Mosque in Balad Market, Akbarigate. If you know that area, you know how narrow the lanes are and how many people are always walking around. It is a very lively place to work. We can hear the call to prayer from the mosque while we are sitting at our desks. The office is small and tucked away, but it is always full of people from the market dropping in to ask about train tickets or bus timings. We do not have much room for big furniture, so it is just the essentials. We spend a lot of time writing down names and dates in our notebooks. Dealing with travel in such a crowded area means we have to be very careful about timing because getting in and out of Akbarigate can take forever. We do not use fancy slogans or have big posters on the walls. Most of our work comes from people we have known for years in the Chowk area. It is a bit dusty and the building is old, but we like the location. It feels like we are right in the middle of everything that happens in Lucknow. We just keep things simple and honest while we work through the daily bookings.
