Sakshi Sabharwal

I’ve been at this spot in Vivek Khand for a while now. Plot No-2/568 is where I spend most of my days, right here in Gomti Nagar. It’s a busy part of Lucknow, and sometimes the traffic on the main road gets a bit loud, but inside it’s mostly just me and the work. I started Sakshi Sabharwal without much of a plan, honestly. I just needed a space that worked. The walls are a bit plain, and I should probably get around to painting them again soon. People walk by all the time, heading toward the markets or going home. It’s funny how you get used to the sounds of the neighborhood, like the tea stall nearby or the cars honking at the turn. I usually open up early in the morning before it gets too hot. Lucknow summers are no joke, so the fan stays on all day long. I keep things pretty simple here. There aren’t any fancy decorations or anything. Just a desk, some chairs, and whatever papers I’m dealing with that week. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, which is just part of living in this area, I guess. You just wait it out or open the windows. Most folks around here know where I am if they need anything. It isn't much, but it’s my space and it gets the job done. I like being tucked away in this corner of Lucknow.
