Sahara Hospital

We are over at the Grover Dental and Medical Center in Nirala Nagar. It’s a busy spot in Lucknow, especially when the schools let out and everyone is trying to get home at the same time. Our building isn’t the newest one on the block, but it serves its purpose for us and the people who walk in. Most days, I get in early to make sure the waiting room looks halfway decent before the first person shows up. There’s a lot of dust because of the construction nearby, so we are always cleaning the windows. It’s just me and a few others here most of the time. We have those blue plastic chairs that everyone recognizes. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. Sometimes the tea guy from down the street brings us snacks in the afternoon when things quiet down. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the one out front that tells people where we are. It feels like a neighborhood place more than a big institution. People from Nirala Nagar know us by now. We spend a lot of time just filing papers and keeping the records in order. It’s a lot of basic work, really. Nothing like what you see on TV. Just a regular day in a regular Lucknow office. We keep the lights on and wait for the next person to come through the door.
