Riyas Men

Riyas Men is located over on Guhari Road in the Gomti Nagar area of Lucknow. We are specifically at Guhari Chauraha. If you are in the 226001 zip code, you know this part of town gets quite a lot of people passing through. The shop is right there where the roads meet. It is a men's grooming place. We have the usual barber chairs and the capes we put around people. The street outside is always humming with scooters and cars. Inside, we just keep things simple. There are some old magazines on the table for when there is a wait. I spend most of my day standing on my feet with a pair of scissors in my hand. It is honest work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but for now, they are fine. We use the local water and the basic soaps. Gomti Nagar is a big place, but our corner at the chauraha feels like a little neighborhood. People stop by not just for a cut but sometimes just to say hello or talk about the weather. It gets really hot in the summer, so the fan is always on the highest setting. We don't have a website or anything like that. If you need a haircut, you just walk in through the door. We keep the mirrors clean so you can see what is happening. That’s about all there is to it.
