Ranjan Service Station

Being located at Gpo Chauraha on Mg Marg in Hazratganj means Ranjan Service Station is right in the middle of everything in Lucknow. It’s a very busy spot with cars and bikes constantly pulling in. I’ve been working here for a long time, and my clothes are usually stained with oil or grease by the end of the shift. The sound of engines idling and the smell of petrol are just part of the daily routine. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything like that; people usually just stand around or sit on a plastic chair while we look at their vehicles. It gets incredibly hot in the summer, especially with the heat coming off the asphalt and the engines, but we keep the water cooler filled. We handle basic repairs, oil changes, and tire checks mostly. There’s always a pile of old tires in the corner and tools scattered across the workbench. I spend a lot of time talking to drivers who are in a hurry to get back into the Hazratganj traffic. It’s a bit chaotic at times, especially when several cars show up at once, but we manage to get through it. We aren't a big corporate chain with uniforms. We are just a group of people who know how to fix things and keep the vehicles moving. It’s hard work, but it’s honest, and we’ve been at this same corner for many years.
