Pervez Ahmed General Store

My name is on the sign at Pervez Ahmed General Store. We are situated on Abdul Aziz Road in the Bhola Nath Kuwa area of Lucknow, 226003. This is a busy neighborhood where everyone seems to know everyone else by their first names. I started this store because I wanted to have my own place in the community. We stock all the usual general items like biscuits, tea leaves, spices, and cleaning supplies for the house. The shelves are mostly made of old wood and have been there as long as the shop has. It is a bit dusty on the road outside with the rickshaws passing, but inside we try to keep things as tidy as possible. Some days are very long, especially when we have to unload new crates of soda or heavy boxes of supplies in the heat. But it feels good to be busy and useful. It is an honest living, and we are happy to be part of the Abdul Aziz Road market. We just keep serving the people who live nearby every day.
