Paramount Clinic

The sound of bells from the nearby Sandohan Devi Mandir is something we hear every day at Paramount Clinic. Chopatiya Chowk is always full of people moving about, so we are right in the middle of all that activity. We opened this place here because it is a central spot for the neighborhood to reach without traveling too far. It is not a massive facility, just a few simple rooms where we see people who aren't feeling their best. We spend a lot of our time cleaning up and making sure the chairs are ready for whoever walks in next. The street outside gets quite dusty sometimes, especially when the wind picks up near the temple. We try our best to keep the inside cool and quiet for everyone. It is just a few of us working through the day, taking appointments as they come in. Most of the people who visit live right around the corner, and we have come to know many of them by their first names. It is not like those giant city hospitals where you are just another number on a screen. Here, we might chat about the weather or the traffic at the chowk while we get things sorted out. The sign hanging outside is getting a little old now, but people find us anyway. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a few minutes, but that is just life in this part of town.
