Narayan Manpuri

If you head down to the Chowk area of Lucknow, you'll find Narayan Manpuri near Gole Darwaza. This part of the city is famous for its old buildings and narrow lanes that are always packed with people. Our shop has been a part of this landscape for a long time. It’s a traditional kind of place where things haven't changed much over the years. We focus on selling items that the local residents need for their daily lives. The atmosphere in Chowk is very unique, with the smell of food and the sound of people bargaining all around us. Our shop might look a bit cluttered because we try to fit as much as possible into a small space. We have sacks of grain, jars of snacks, and all sorts of general supplies. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see one of us sitting at the front. We don't go in for big displays or modern marketing. People come to us because they know we are here and we've been here for ages. Sometimes the rains make the lanes a bit muddy, but the customers still come through. We spend our days weighing out goods and talking to the regulars about what's happening in the neighborhood. It’s a busy life, but it’s a good one. We just try to be helpful and keep the shop running smoothly for everyone who relies on us.
