Metro City Travel is located right in the main market of Chowk, Lucknow. It has been around here for a good number of years now. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a few desks and some chairs where people can sit while someone looks up their tickets. Being in the middle of the market means it’s always loud outside with people selling things and cars honking. Most people who come in are just folks doing their daily shopping. Train bookings, flight tickets, and hotel help are what we mostly do. There isn't a big team or a fancy website. It’s just a couple of us working through the day, drinking tea and trying to make sense of the computer screens. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to tell people to come back in an hour. That’s just how it is in this area. Knowing most of the other shopkeepers around Chowk makes it feel like a little community. No big advertising is done here. If someone needs to travel, they usually just know where to find us. Keeping the paperwork simple helps avoid mistakes. Lucknow is a big, busy city and people are always needing to get somewhere else. The job is simply getting them their tickets so they can go. It’s regular work, nothing fancy or polished about it. Everyone just shows up and does their best every day. We don't worry about being the biggest, just getting the task done.
