Mehdi Tours &Starves is based in Shop Number Gf-6 of the Galaxy Apartment building in Lucknow Chowk. Being in Chowk means there is never a quiet moment. Noise from the street can be heard all day long. The office is on the ground floor, so it’s easy for people to just walk inside. All sorts of travel stuff is handled here, from local trips to longer tours. This isn't a massive agency. It’s just a few of us sitting at our desks. A lot of time is spent on the phone or checking travel schedules on the computer. Sometimes the name of the place gets a bit confusing for people, but it just gets explained when they ask. There isn't a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on people in the neighborhood knowing the location. Most customers are locals from the apartments or the nearby streets. The paperwork is handled here so they don't have to deal with the stress of booking things online. Lucknow is a busy place and this office is just one small part of it. Plenty of tea is drunk while we work and talk to whoever comes through the door. No big claims are made about being the best. The goal is just to get the bookings done right so there are no problems later. It’s just a regular local business doing its thing every day.
