Masudar Rahman Clinic

Masudar Rahman Clinic is located in the Chik Mandi area of Lucknow. We are situated on Maulana Abdul Shakoor Road, right by the Jamned Qureshi Masjid. This part of the city is very old and the streets are quite tight. There’s always a lot of activity happening around the masjid, especially during prayer times. The clinic is a small space that we’ve tried to make the most of. It’s got a bit of an old-fashioned feel to it, with heavy wooden doors and high ceilings. We have a few chairs for people to sit on while they wait their turn. It can get pretty warm in the afternoons, so we usually have the windows open to let some air in, though that also lets in the noise from the market. Chik Mandi is a place where everyone seems to know everyone else, so we see a lot of familiar faces every day. We aren't trying to be a big, polished hospital. We are just a local clinic where we keep things honest and straightforward. The floor is made of old stone and the desk is cluttered with papers and pens. We spend our hours talking to the locals and helping them with whatever they need. It’s a humble spot in a very busy part of Lucknow, and we are quite content with that. Every evening, when the market starts to close, we pack up our things too and go home.
