We deal with textiles every day. It’s mostly about managing the stock and making sure things are moving. We don’t have a massive crew, just enough people to keep the wheels turning. My cousin actually helped me set up some of the shelves in the back when we first moved in. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the fabrics that come through the door. Sometimes the inventory piles up and we have to reorganize the whole room. It’s just how it is in this business. We don't bother with fancy slogans. We just handle the textiles and try to stay honest with everyone we work with. Being in Lucknow gives us a good base. We know the local traders and they know where to find us in Jankipuram. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We open up early and usually stay until the last bit of paperwork is done. It’s a simple routine, and it works for us. We’re just happy to be part of the local community here. If anyone asks what we do, we just show them the rolls of cloth in the back and that usually explains everything they need to know about us.
