Aastha Old Age Hospital

Aastha Old Age Hospital is tucked away at B-52 in the Mahanagar Extension, right by J-Park. It’s a relatively quiet area, which is nice for the residents. We spend a lot of time in the common areas or walking through the halls to check on everyone. It’s not like a regular hospital where people are rushing around all the time. Things move at a slower pace here. We have to be patient because the people staying with us are older and need a bit more time for everything. The building itself is okay, though the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint in some of the rooms. We try to keep things comfortable, but it’s a working facility, not a hotel. There’s usually a TV on somewhere playing old movies or the news. The kitchen is always busy preparing meals that aren't too hard to chew. We have a small staff, so we know all the residents' names and their little habits, like who likes their tea with extra sugar. Sometimes it’s sad when someone’s health declines, but we just do what we can to keep them comfortable. It’s a lot of emotional work as well as physical. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just focus on the daily care and making sure the residents are looked after properly. It’s a place where we try to provide some dignity.
