Maa Vaishno Fisheries is based at L.G.R. 127 in the Priyam Crossing Plaza, which is in the Ratankhand area. We are in the fish business. It’s not a big open-air market, but more of a setup where we handle the orders and the logistics for the fish trade. Being at Priyam Crossing Plaza makes it easy for us to coordinate things because it’s a well-known spot. The work involves a lot of talking to the people who do the fishing and then finding the right buyers in the city. We have to be very careful with the timing because fish doesn't stay fresh forever. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking the temperature of the storage. It’s a lot of pressure sometimes, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a team of people in suits. We are just regular folks who know a lot about fish and how to move it quickly. The plaza is usually busy, and we are just one part of the activity there. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just tell people what we have available and what the price is for the day. If the catch is good, we have a busy day. If not, we spend time cleaning up and getting ready for the next batch. It’s an honest way to make a living and we keep things simple.
