You can find the maternity center at Silver Plaza in Daliganj. Daliganj is a very old and busy part of Lucknow. The plaza itself is a well-known building, so most rickshaw drivers know exactly where to go. We are tucked away in there. It’s a place for mothers and babies, so it can get a bit loud with crying and talking. The hallways are narrow and we have a lot of people coming in for checkups. It’s not a fancy private suite type of place. It’s a working hospital center. We have beds and medical stands and plenty of medicine around. The staff stays busy moving from one room to another. Outside, the street is usually packed with vendors and traffic. You can hear the sounds of the city through the windows. We’ve seen many families come through these doors over the years. Some people have been coming here for generations. It’s a bit cramped sometimes when it’s peak hours, but we manage. There is no air-conditioned lobby with soft music. It’s just a regular clinic in a busy plaza. We focus on the health of the moms and kids. It’s a bit of a hectic environment, but that’s just how Daliganj is. We are used to the noise and the constant flow of people in and out of the plaza every day of the week.
