India Hospital

India Hospital is situated at C-284 in the Mangalam Building. We are over in Nirala Nagar, quite close to the 8 Number Chauraha. If you are coming from that direction, you’ll see the building easily enough. The chauraha is always a bit chaotic with rickshaws and cars, but once you get into the Mangalam Building, things settle down a little. We have several floors here. The elevators sometimes take a minute, so a lot of us just use the stairs if we are in a hurry. Our rooms are basic but functional. We have the standard hospital beds and the usual equipment you’d expect to see. It’s not like those five-star hospitals you see in movies. It’s a place for getting treated and going home. We have a lot of paperwork to manage every day, and the desks are usually piled with folders and forms. The light in the hallway is a bit dim in some spots, but we know our way around. In the mornings, the smell of tea from the nearby stalls drifts in. We’ve got a small waiting area with those plastic chairs that are easy to wipe down. People come here from all over the city because of where we are located. We just focus on keeping the place running and making sure the patients are looked after without any unnecessary fuss. It’s just a normal building where we do our best to stay organized and help people.
