Our shop is down on the lower ground floor of the Rajshri Complex. It’s Shop No-5, right there in the Powerhouse LDA area. Being in the basement means we don’t get as much sunlight, but it stays a bit cooler when the summer hits Lucknow. We do home textiles, so the place is always full of bedsheets, curtains, and stuff like that. It’s a lot of unpacking boxes and then packing them back up to send them out again. The complex is usually pretty busy with people coming and going, so there’s always something happening outside the door. We aren't a big corporate office with glass walls or anything. It’s just a shop with shelves reaching up to the ceiling. We spend a lot of time checking the stitching and making sure the colors look right under the tubelights. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out with a torch or some tea from the stall nearby. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve got a few people helping with the heavy lifting and the inventory. Dealing with textiles means you’re always covered in a bit of lint, but that’s just part of the job. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor; we just want to make sure the fabric is good and the orders get to the right place on time. It’s simple enough when you get down to it. We just open up in the morning and stay until the last box is sorted.
