We are located over at G-5 UPSIDC in Sarojini Nagar. It’s an industrial spot and we spend most of our time here dealing with heavy manufacturing equipment. Some days are really loud in the workshop. We have been in this location for a while now. The guys in the back know the machines inside out. We get the orders in, we build them, and then we ship them out. It’s not flashy work at all. There is usually some dust on the floor and grease on our hands. We use heavy tools and the welding sparks are always flying. People come by sometimes to check on how their equipment is coming along. We drink a lot of tea during our afternoon breaks to keep going. The weather in the shed gets quite hot during the summer months, but we just keep at it. Sometimes the trucks arrive late for the pickups and it messes with the schedule. We manage though. Our name is painted on the front gate so it is easy to find. It’s a big space but we use every inch of it. We focus on getting the metal work done right the first time. No one here wears a suit or tie. It’s all work clothes and safety boots every day. We’ve seen Sarojini Nagar change quite a bit over the years. There are more buildings now. We just stay busy with our own work. Manufacturing is tough but it is what we do.
