Down at 178/253 Gola Ganj, that’s where Hasan Export sits. It’s an old part of the neighborhood, and the building has seen better days, but it’s sturdy. We spend a lot of time in the warehouse area. It’s where most of the action happens. We’ve got shelves stacked high, and we try to keep things organized, though it doesn't always stay that way during a busy week. Sometimes we lose a pen or a notebook under a pile of packing paper, and we all have to go looking for it. It makes the day interesting, I suppose. The air is often thick with the smell of cardboard and whatever materials we’re working with. We don’t have a fancy lobby for visitors. Most people who come by are truck drivers or local guys we know. We sit on plastic chairs and go over the orders while having a drink. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don't use a lot of complicated software; we mostly rely on what we see and write down. If there’s a problem, we fix it right then and there. It’s a bit loud with the street noise coming through the windows, but we don't mind it. It’s just the sound of the city. We work until the light fades, then we lock up and head home to our families.
