We’ve been operating out of 6-B, Way Road for quite some time now. Chopra Retec Rubber Products Limited is one of those places where you can smell what we do before you even see the sign. It’s that heavy, earthy scent of raw rubber that sticks to everything. The shop floor is always a bit dusty, and we’ve got pieces of material scattered around near the cutters. It’s not the neatest place, but we know where everything is. We spend our hours measuring, cutting, and checking the quality of the rubber parts we make. Some of the machines are older than the staff, but they still run fine if you treat them right. Way Road is usually busy, so there’s always noise coming from outside too. We aren't trying to be some high-tech lab; we just make stuff that people need. Our team is small, and most of us have been working together for years. We’ve had plenty of moments where a machine breaks down and we all have to huddle around to fix it. It’s just part of the job. We have our tea breaks out on the step when the weather is nice. It’s a simple life here, focused on getting the orders right and keeping the customers happy without making a big fuss about it. We’re just regular people making regular products every single day. The floor might be stained, but the work is solid.
