You can find us on 60 Feet Road in the Jankipuram Extension. Our address is 4/91, which is where the name comes from. Lucknow is a big city, but this corner feels like a small town. We’ve been here for a couple of years now. The shop isn't very large. We have a display case that we bought from a guy down the street. It’s got a small crack in the corner, but it holds everything just fine. Most days we are in the back where the heat is. The smell of vanilla usually hangs in the air. We don't use any pre-made mixes or anything. It's just eggs, flour, and sugar. The mixer we use is quite old and makes a lot of noise. We have to shout over it sometimes. The neighborhood kids often hang around the door hoping for a scrap or a mistake. We give them what we can. It’s a friendly place. The rent is decent for this part of town. We don't have a big sign, just a small one we hand-painted. It’s a bit crooked if you look closely. We are not trying to be the biggest place in Lucknow. We just want to finish the day with empty shelves. It takes a lot of work to get everything done by noon. Sometimes we're still here late at night cleaning up. It’s just the two of us and a part-timer who comes in on Saturdays.
