Faiz Clinic

We are located at the Akbari Gate crossing, right below the Era Medical Centre. It’s a very well-known part of the city, and the crossing is almost always packed with people and rickshaws. Being situated below a larger medical centre means there are always people around who are looking for health services. Our clinic is down on the lower level, which makes it stay a bit cooler than the street level, but you can still hear all the noise from the Akbari Gate area. It’s a historic part of town, so the buildings are packed tightly together and there’s a lot of character in the streets. We have a small space here, just enough for a couple of people to work and a few patients to wait. The walls are a bit plain and we haven't spent much money on decorations because we think the work is more important. People often come to us after visiting the larger centre upstairs or if they just want a quick checkup while they are passing through the crossing. It’s a very hectic spot to work in, but there is never a dull moment. I like being near the gate because there’s so much history there, even if our clinic is just a small, plain part of it. We just keep our heads down and do our jobs, helping whoever walks down the stairs to find us. It’s a busy life but we enjoy it.
