You can find us at B-52 J-Park, inside the Aastha Hospice premises in Mahanagar. It is a quiet spot tucked away from the main commercial drags. Dr Sandeep Kumar’s Clinic has been operating out of this space for some time now. The building is easy to spot once you get into the Mahanagar area. We share the space with the hospice, so the atmosphere is generally very calm and respectful. The clinic isn’t huge. It’s just a few rooms where the doctor sees patients and we handle the paperwork. There is a small garden area outside that we can see from the window. It helps make the place feel a bit more relaxed than a standard sterile hospital environment. We don’t have a lot of staff, so you usually see the same two or three people every time you visit. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it is dead silent for an hour. We just go with the flow of the day. The chairs in the waiting room are basic but they do the job. We don’t have a coffee machine or anything like that, just a simple water dispenser. Most people who come here are from the local blocks or nearby neighborhoods. It’s a very local operation. We keep the records in big metal cabinets and try to stay on top of the schedule. It is just a regular place doing regular medical work for the community.
