Dr A K Jain Clinic

You can find the clinic on A P Sen Road, which is right by the Charbagh Railway Station in Lucknow. Being so close to the station means there is always a lot of noise from the trains and the crowds outside. We’ve grown used to the sound of the whistles and the announcements over the years. The clinic is in an older part of the building. We have a small sign outside so people don't miss us. Inside, it’s pretty simple. There are a few rows of chairs for patients and a desk where we keep the registers. Dr. Jain has his own small room where he talks to patients. It’s not a large place, so when it gets full, people sometimes have to wait in the doorway. We see a lot of travelers who are just passing through the station, as well as the locals who live in the narrow lanes around here. The light is a bit dim in the hallway, but we keep the exam room bright. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some old health posters and a calendar. It’s a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, but we sweep it out every morning. It’s just a regular clinic where people come when they’re sick. We do the best we can with the space we have, making sure everyone gets their turn.
