Diamond Printing Press

You can find Diamond Printing Press down in the basement of Karamat Market. It’s at D-76 in the Nishatganj area. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice when the machines are running hot. The smell of ink is pretty much part of the furniture here. We’ve been doing printing for a long time and the shop has that lived-in look. There are stacks of paper everywhere and the floor always has a few scraps on it. Nishatganj is a busy place, and Karamat Market is right in the middle of it. We see all sorts of people walking by. Some stop in for a quick job and others have been coming to us for years. We don’t have a fancy reception area. You just walk in and talk to whoever is free. We handle things like wedding cards, pamphlets, and whatever else needs printing. The light in the basement isn't the best, but we’ve got good lamps over the work tables. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a big shipment of paper delivered, but we make it work. We aren't trying to be the biggest press in the city, just a reliable one where people can get their stuff done without a lot of fuss. It’s a lot of manual work and we usually go home with ink on our fingers. The stairs down to the basement are a bit steep, so we always tell people to watch their step.
