Colors Tours & Travels is located right in Samauddinpur, at House No.311!B-Block. It’s more of a home-based thing than a big shiny office you’d see in the city center. We're quite close to Ujala Hospital, which is a big landmark around here in Indira Nagar. I started this because I knew a lot about the roads and how to get around Lucknow. Most of our days are spent sitting inside, answering calls and writing down booking dates on a wall calendar. It gets quiet in this part of B-Block, which I actually like. It’s much better than being on the main highway. People from the nearby houses often stop by just to ask about prices or to see if we have a car available for a wedding or a quick trip out of town. We don’t use any complicated software; it’s mostly just me and a couple of others handling the paperwork by hand. The house can get a bit crowded when drivers come in to pick up their trip sheets, but we make it work. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside while we’re trying to talk to a customer, but that’s just how it is living and working in the same area. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the address that people follow. It’s a simple way to earn a living and we’ve been doing it like this for years now.
