Chhangamal

Chhangamal is located at 21 Khun Khunji Road. If you walk between the SBI bank and the Post Office at the Chowk, you’ll find us easily. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history in the bricks. Our shop has been around for quite some time, and it definitely looks it. We haven't changed the interior much over the years. We sell traditional clothes and fabrics, mostly. The wooden shelves are high and packed to the ceiling with different materials. It can get a bit dark inside, but that’s just the way these old buildings were built. We don't have a big marketing plan or a sales team to push products. It's usually just a few of us behind the counter. We know many of the people who walk through the door by name because they've been coming here for years. It’s a slow-paced kind of place compared to the modern malls. We take our time showing the materials and unfolding the cloth. The floorboards might creak a bit under your feet, and the lighting isn't the best, but people seem to like the quiet atmosphere. We aren't looking to expand or become some big chain. We’re perfectly happy right here at the Chowk. It’s a reliable spot for the locals who want something traditional. We just open up the shutters in the morning and wait for the regulars to stop by for a chat and some shopping.
