Our shop is tucked away behind the Novelty Cinema building in Lalbagh. It’s Shop Number 41. If you know the area, you know it's always crowded and full of activity. My sons and I spend most of our time here dealing with whatever comes through the door. Engineering work in a place like this means you see all sorts of parts and machinery. The floor is usually a bit greasy and there’s always the sound of tools clanking. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. People just walk in when they have something that needs fixing or making. We’ve been in this part of Lucknow for quite some time now. Dealing with local clients is what we do every day. Sometimes it's a small part for a machine and other times it's a bigger job that takes a few days. We don't make big promises, we just look at the job and tell you if we can do it. Lalbagh is the heart of the city for this kind of work. You learn a lot just by being here and seeing what other shops are doing. It's a bit dusty and the summer heat is tough, but this is our life. We keep things simple. No fancy talk, just engineering and hard work. My sons are learning the trade too, keeping the family name alive in this old building. We’ve seen many businesses come and go, but we stay right here.
