Capsule Classes

Up on the third floor of Pratap Bhawan is where we keep our rooms. If you're walking along Nawal Kishor Road near the old Leela Cinema in Hazratganj, you'll see the building. It is a busy part of Lucknow, which is why being on the third floor is nice because it gets us away from the worst of the street noise. We started Capsule Classes because we saw so many students looking for a quiet place to get their work done. Our space isn't huge, but we have made the most of it over the years. You'll find rows of wooden benches and some whiteboards that have seen better days. Most of our time is spent right here, grading papers or explaining things that the kids didn't quite catch in their school lessons. Being in Hazratganj makes it pretty easy for everyone to reach us after their normal classes are over. We don't spend money on big ads; usually, people just find out about us from a neighbor or a friend. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things. You won't find a fancy lobby or leather chairs here. It's just a place to sit and study. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we just take the stairs, which isn't so bad. We know the other folks in the building well. We just show up every day, do the teaching, and lock up once the last student heads home.
