Our place is out in the Nadar Ganj industrial area, specifically at Plot No. B-8. Being in Amausi means we are surrounded by other warehouses and factories. It’s not the kind of place you come for a casual walk. There are trucks moving in and out all day long, kicking up dust and making a lot of noise. We spend most of our time inside the warehouse sorting through inventory. It is a large space, mostly concrete and metal racks. We handle distributions for various items and our day starts early with unloading shipments. The workers here have been around for a long time. We drink tea from the stall down the road and keep track of the paperwork on wooden desks that have seen better days. It can get quiet in the evenings once the main gates start closing, but during the day it is constant movement. We don’t have a big front office or anything like that. If you need us, you usually find us near the loading dock checking the lists. The weather gets really hot in the summer out here since there isn't much shade around the plot. We just focus on getting the crates out to the right places. It is straightforward work. No one wears a suit here, just regular clothes that can get a bit dirty from the boxes. We stay busy with the logistics and try to keep things organized despite the constant flow of goods.
