Bareilly District Hospital

Bareilly District Hospital is located over on Prasanna Mode, right along the Lucknow Road in Nariyawal. It’s a big spot and a lot of people from all over the district end up here for their care. Being a district hospital means there is always something going on at all hours. It can get pretty loud and crowded in the mornings when the outpatient clinics start. We’ve got different wards for different things like medicine and surgery. The staff here works really hard, even when there are too many people in the hallways or waiting areas. It’s an old-school kind of place. We don't have those fancy automated systems for everything. We still use a lot of paper and the nurses usually know where every single thing is kept. You might have to wait your turn for a while, but we try to get to everyone eventually. Nariyawal is a busy area so there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside. We see everything from minor scrapes to much bigger health problems. The doctors are usually running from one room to another all day long. It’s not like a private clinic where you get tea and a soft chair to sit in. It’s a government hospital and we do what we can with the resources we have. People know us for being there when they need a doctor without any unnecessary fuss. The building shows its age a bit but it serves its purpose for the community.
