The shop is right on Aliganj Road, not far from the police station. You can’t miss it if you’re looking for a place to get your car sorted out. It’s a basic garage setup. We have some jacks, a bunch of wrenches, and there’s usually a car or two up on the stands. The ground is a bit stained from oil spills over the years, but that’s how garages are. We mostly deal with engines and regular servicing. People bring their cars in when they hear a weird noise or when the brakes start squeaking. It’s usually me and a couple of other guys working under the hoods. We don't have a fancy waiting room, so customers often just stand around or go get a tea nearby while we work. The road outside is always busy with traffic, so we have to be careful when we’re moving cars in and out. Sometimes a customer comes in with a problem we haven’t seen in a while, and it takes us some time to figure it out. We don’t mind that. It’s honest work. We try to keep things straightforward and don't make promises we can't keep. Most days are long, starting when the sun is barely up and ending when it’s dark. We just do the work as it comes and try to stay on top of the pile of spare parts in the corner. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is kept.
