Avadh General Store

Avadh General Store is located on Victoria Street, which sits in the Victoria Ganj and Khala Bazar area of Lucknow. This part of the city is always full of life and very busy. We have a small shop that we try to keep organized, though it isn't always easy with so many different products. We deal with everything from household cleaners to packaged snacks. It is a very local operation where we know almost everyone who stops by. The shop has been here for a while, and the walls are a bit worn from years of use. We don't see any reason to paint them or make it look like a mall. It is a neighborhood store, and people like it that way. Victoria Street can get very congested, especially on the weekends, so we have to be quick with our service so people don't block the way. We spend our days restocking the shelves and talking to the regulars about the news in the market. It is a modest way to live, and we are content with it. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or heavy rain that leaks through the front a bit, but we just clean it up and keep going. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. It is just how things are at Avadh General Store. We stay until the last customer leaves.
