Arushi Medical Centre

The clinic is located at B1/31 Sector - K in Aliganj, right near the Ignou office. It is easy to find if you know that landmark. We spend most of our days inside these walls, managing the front desk and making sure the patient files are in the right order. It gets a bit loud outside sometimes with the traffic from the main road, but inside we try to keep things moving smoothly. There is a small area for people to sit while they wait for their turn. We have a few plants in the corner that someone remembers to water every other day, though they have seen better days. The walls are a plain off-white color and we have a clock that is always five minutes fast, but nobody seems to mind. Most of the people coming in are from around this part of Lucknow. We see the same faces quite often, people stopping by for a check-up or just to ask a quick question at the desk. The computer we use is a bit old and takes its time to start up in the morning, so we usually turn it on first thing while we fix the chairs. We don't have any big corporate slogans or anything like that. It is just a local place where we work. We keep the water cooler filled and the lights on until we finish for the evening. When it’s time to close, we just tidy up the magazines and pull the shutters down.
