Jan Priya

Our place, Jan Priya, is located right near the Raj Ratan Saree Showroom in the Alambagh area. It’s a very busy part of town, so there are always people walking by our front door. Being close to the saree showroom helps people find us easily since everyone knows that landmark. We have a small shop where we keep our stuff organized on wooden shelves. The space is a bit tight, especially when we get new deliveries in, but we make it work. Alambagh is always loud with the sounds of rickshaws and people talking. We don't have a big corporate team, just a couple of us who take turns being at the shop. We open up in the morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it's slow. We don't do anything fancy with the decor, just some basic lighting and a fan to keep things cool. We’ve been here for a while and have gotten to know the other shop owners on the street. It’s a community feeling, even if it gets a bit hectic during the festival seasons. People stop by to ask questions or just to see what we have. We try to keep everything tidy, but it's hard when you're busy all day. It’s a straightforward shop for the local people who live around Alambagh. We just try to get by.
