Agregy Dawakhana

Agregy Dawakhana is located on Ramgopal Vedant Chhitwa Road in the Aliganj area of Lucknow. We are pretty close to Section Q, which makes it easier for people to find us. This place is more of a traditional setup. When you walk in, you will notice the smell of different herbs and medicines right away. It is a scent that has soaked into the walls over the years. We have many wooden shelves filled with various bottles and packets. The building itself is nothing special to look at, just a regular shopfront on a busy road. I spend most of my day sitting behind the main counter, talking to people about what is bothering them. Aliganj is a nice neighborhood, but the traffic on Chhitwa Road can get quite loud during the evening rush hour. We have a small bench outside for when the shop gets too full of people waiting. It’s a very slow-paced kind of place. We don’t use computers for our daily work. Everything is written down in a big ledger that I’ve had for a long time. It’s a bit dusty in here sometimes, especially when the wind blows from the main road, but we try to keep things tidy. We aren't trying to be a big pharmacy chain. We are just a local dawakhana where people can come for their usual remedies. It is a simple life and we like knowing everyone who walks through the door.
