You can find Chhabra Bakery And Namkeen right on the ground floor of Sumi Complex, which is directly opposite the New Market. Being in Shop No. 2 means we see a lot of people passing by all day long, especially when they are heading over to do their grocery shopping at the market. We start very early in the morning, long before the sun is even up, because the ovens take time to get to the right heat. By the time most people are waking up, we already have the first batches of bread and biscuits ready. The smell usually drifts out into the street, which I think is why people stop in. It is not just sweet stuff here; we spend a lot of time frying up namkeen and packing it into bags. The counters are usually crowded with jars of cookies and different types of snacks.
