Likabaliagro Arcenut Navkrishak Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Village Bal in Sori Village. We are located at Bindu Bui’s place in Likabali. This part of West Siang is where we all live and work. Arecanut is the main thing we deal with because that’s what grows best on our land. We got this company started so we could have a better way to organize ourselves. It’s a lot easier to talk to buyers when we are all standing together as a group. Our office is just a regular house where we keep our files and sit down to discuss the season. It’s not very formal, and sometimes the kids from the village are running around outside while we work. We don't have any professional managers; it's just us farmers trying to learn the ropes. The weather in Arunachal Pradesh can be unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time worrying about the rain. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. We just want to make sure the arecanut we grow finds a good market. It’s hard work, and we are just taking it one day at a time. If you’re ever in Likabali, you’ll see our groves all over the hillsides. We are just part of the local community trying to stay organized.
