Pratima Photo Studio

Our little studio is right across from the Municipal Hospital in Lonavala. If you know the area, you know it gets quite busy around here with people coming and going from the clinic. We have been at number 12 for a good many years now. Most of the time, we are just sitting here waiting for someone who needs a quick photo for an ID card or a school form. Lonavala weather can be a bit damp, so we have to be careful with the cameras and the printing paper. We have a small back room where we do the editing and printing. It isn't anything like those big city studios you see in movies. It is just Pratima Photo Studio, a local place for local people. Sometimes a family comes in all dressed up for a portrait, and that makes the day a bit more interesting. We keep the lights ready and the backdrop clean. It is a simple life, honestly. We open up early enough to catch the morning crowd and stay until the street lights come on. The hospital across the street is a good landmark, so nobody really gets lost trying to find us. If the rain is heavy, we might pull the door shut a little, but we are usually inside working on something. It is just us here, making sure the photos look decent enough for whatever people need them for.
