Sri Chandan Agro

Sri Chandan Agro is located out in Santoshnagar, which is near Waki Bk. We are right on the Pune-Nashik Highway in the Chakan area. Because of the highway, there is a lot of wind and a constant stream of traffic passing by. Our building is a large shed-like structure that works well for storing agricultural supplies. It gets very bright during the day, and the sun reflects off the metal roof. We spend our time moving bags of seed or containers of other agro products. It is dusty work because of the dry ground around Chakan. We have a small office partitioned off in one corner where we keep the accounts. There’s a big dog that hangs around the entrance and sleeps in the shade of the trucks. Most of our visitors are local farmers or drivers who stop in to pick up supplies. We don't have any fancy carpets or soft chairs, just sturdy furniture that can handle a bit of dirt. The highway noise is loud, but you get used to the sound of the horns after a while. We usually start work very early before the heat of the day becomes too much to handle. Lunch is usually eaten sitting on some of the stacked bags in the warehouse. It’s a basic operation but it keeps us busy throughout the seasons. We just focus on getting the right products to the people who need them.
